In the Dark

Last night there was a storm about 25-30 miles away from us, so of course our power went out. Ugh. We decided to just go somewhere, so we went to Petsmart and looked at fish. That was entertaining for a while and at least we weren't just sitting in the dark. When we were almost home, the traffic light was still not working so we realized it was still out, so we kept on going and went to Wal-Mart and picked up some bread and milk and things that we were low on. Got to the traffic light and it's still out.

At that point we just came on home and sat in the dark playing scrabble with each other. At least it was during the day so that we had some light coming in through the window! We played two games without scoring* and then it came back. We did wind up having fun playing though.

*I recommend playing without scoring! We wound up really enjoying that and there was no tension between us. We decided not to score because it would have been too hard to see the in the semi-darkness of our room.
