My husband was at a restaurant yesterday and heard another patron order a "red beer." He waited to see what it was, turns out it's beer and tomato juice! BLEAHHHHHH! Also, a kid ordered a Dr. Pepper but the restaurant didn't have that, they only had Doc. Holiday soda, which is apparently a local brand in AZ. I wonder if the "red beer" is just an AZ thing or do people all over drink that?

Read a lot of Catching Fire last night before bed and I'm exhausted today because I was dreaming the book. Ugh. You don't get good sleep when you fight all night.

Besides that, the book is taking a turn I didn't expect. I'll be glad to finish this one.

My husband got home ok this morning. I'm glad the storms we were having didn't create any delays or anything.

Ugh, we're having a thunderstorm and my husband has to fly tonight. I hate it when there's bad weather on a travel night. Maybe it's not bad where he is.

Six days and ten states.  Wow.  What an awesome trip!  1/5 of the entire country!

We decided to drive back from CA because I hate flying so much.  It's a lot of fun.  Yesterday I woke up in Las Vegas, NV and today I wake up at the Grand Canyon.   Awesome!

So we drove up to Monterey Bay today.  I've heard of it forever and thought it would be nice, but it's really dingy and kind of seedy looking.  The aquarium was fun, but not worth the drive up, really.

However the day was salvaged when we decided to drive back via highway 1 rather than 101 (which is more like an interstate.)  That was the most beautiful, breathtaking and sometimes terrifying drive I've ever been on!  Wow.  If you get the chance, defintely make that drive.  It's amazing (and sometimes quite scary!)
